No-Chin, Beard Growing Techniques, and Dermal Fillers
When I was a child, it was discovered that I had a massive over-bite. The dentist advised that my jaw be broken, realigned, then wired shut from anywhere from six months to a year to solve the weak chin and over-bite problems. I, of course, never had the procedure done, and years later as an adult discovered that those with my same condition that did have the procedure done suffered from some major jaw related problems and side effects as an adult, including but not limited to the jaw actually unattaching from the joint.
Growing up and while in college, I’ve been made extreme fun of because I had very little actual chin. One of the names I’ve heard over and over has been “no-chin.”
I grew a beard, and this hid much of the problem, but I still felt insecure about my appearance until I learned about dermal fillers.
Several different dermal filler solutions exist to fix a weak chin problem. I used a bulking filler product called Rediese. Rediese was directly placed on the area of my chin to build it up to a more prominent definition. I was amazed at the immediate difference the dermal filler product made in my chin, and although I still kept my beard (I had kind of grown used to it) I can honestly say I wish I had turned to dermal fillers for my chin problem much sooner than I had.
Dermal fillers can fix various chin associated problems and not just weak chins. Women, for example, are prone to what is known as the “witch chin.” A witch chin is an abnormally pointy chin, and dermal fillers can be used to balance out this problem, giving the chin a much more natural look.
